Enhancing the Google Workspace Experience on Android Devices

Google has recently introduced a range of new features and functionalities across products such as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Keep, aiming to enhance the Google Workspace experience on Android devices.

As part of its mission to provide a top-notch user experience on large-screen devices, Google has incorporated several new features into products like Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Keep to elevate the Google Workspace experience on Android devices.

Specifically, the new features include:

  • Drag and Drop in Docs, Sheets, and Drive: Easily drag text or images from other applications, such as Chrome, and drop the content into an existing document or spreadsheet. For Drive, swiftly upload files by dragging and dropping them into the app. You can also add links to Drive files by dragging them into an open app like Keep.

Keyboard Support for Drive, Docs, and Slides: When using the accompanying keyboard, utilize simple and familiar shortcuts to quickly navigate through Drive, Docs, and Slides without slowing down and leaving the keyboard.

Multi-Version Support on Drive: Get more detailed information about your Drive files by opening two windows side by side.

These new features are available for all Google Workspace customers as well as existing G Suite Basic and Business customers starting from July 28, 2022.
