Now, you can select multiple tabs in Google Sheets and perform basic tasks simultaneously (such as rearranging tabs, deleting, copying, coloring, or hiding). Feel confident working in Google Sheets and complete tasks faster when handling basic operations across multiple sheets at once.

If you don’t want others to alter the content within the spreadsheet, you can protect it. However, note that this is not intended as a robust security measure, as individuals can still print, copy, paste, and import and export copies of the protected spreadsheet. Only share the spreadsheet with those you trust.

Similarly, you can hide old sheets or serve as placeholders for calculations used by other sheets in Google Sheets. Hiding a sheet is different from protecting a sheet:

  • All spreadsheet editors can still see and view these sheets.
  • Viewers of the spreadsheet cannot see the hidden sheets. If someone makes a copy of the spreadsheet, the sheets will remain hidden, but they will be able to unhide the sheets.
