I have received numerous messages from many of you expressing feelings of stress, lack of motivation, and being overwhelmed. It can often seem like there’s nothing we can do to change these emotions. However, research suggests that there are small actions we can take that have the potential to improve our mood and overall well-being.

That’s why I believe it’s incredibly important to allocate some time each day for self-care, even if it’s just a few minutes. To assist you in this endeavor, I have created a sheet of wellness planner stickers. Additionally, I will be sharing resources for other free printables.

The sticker sheet includes half boxes labeled “today’s wellness task” to help you plan and prioritize your self-care activities. These stickers can be used to mark and remind yourself of the tasks you want to accomplish each day to promote your well-being.

The participants were divided into two groups. One group was instructed to walk in a city for 20 minutes, while the other group walked in a forest area for the same duration. Later that day, both groups were asked to spend 20 minutes observing the landscapes in their respective areas. The researchers discovered that the participants who had walked in the forest area exhibited significantly lower levels of cortisol compared to those who had walked in the city area. Additionally, the participants who had spent time in the forest area reported feeling much calmer. These findings suggest that spending time in nature, such as walking in a forest, can reduce stress levels.

Meditation has been shown to increase dopamine levels, which can enhance motivation and drive. Moreover, interacting with animals can also have a positive impact on well-being. One study revealed that positive interactions with dogs not only decreased cortisol levels but also increased dopamine and oxytocin levels in the participants. Exercise releases endorphins, which can alleviate pain and improve overall well-being. It also increases serotonin, promoting a better mood.

These are just a few examples, but during my research for this post, I came across a website that offers numerous free resources related to these topics. You can find sheets with examples of activities that can increase dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins. You can print them out and incorporate them into your planner. The website primarily caters to children, so not all activities may be relevant, but there are still good ideas that you can utilize, such as listening to music, practicing yoga, reading, going on a hike, or meditating. Feel free to customize the activities to suit your preferences and create your own list.

To incorporate these template into your planner, you can cut them out and add them to pre-punched happy planner filler paper. Alternatively, you can punch holes in the sheets and insert them directly into your planner. I personally store these printables behind my “long-term collections” tab in my wellness planner for easy reference when planning my week.
